TURKS PROMISE TO WITHDRAW FROM ERENKEUI.
A. and N.Z. (Received &.5 p.m.) LONDON. Oct. 1. Despite the anxiety due to the Cabinet sitting throughout Sunday, and only adjourning late in the afternoon, the Near Eastern position lhas taken a marked turn for the better.
It is officially stated that the situation in the Near East is easier. The Turks have promised to -withdraw from their advanced position at Erenkeui, near the Dardanelles.
