ENGLAND'S FASTEST BOWLER A. and N.Z. LONDON. Sept. 8.
In the pr<ssent dearth of first-class fart bowlers in England, the doings of Arthnr Gilligan, • captain of Sussex, are being watched with much interest. Many regard him as England's hope for the future. He is the fastest bowler in England to-day, and on several occasions skittled out his opponents cheaply, his pace off the pitch beating the very best batsmen. Gilligan, for Sussex, has taken 116 wickets at an average cost of 17.25 runs.
