"THE SEA IS OUR LIFE."
PRESERVING THE EMPIRE. LORD JELLICOE'S MESSAGE. "The sea is our life. By the use of it the Empire was formed. By holding it the Empire has been preserved. If we fail to appreciate its value the Empire will perish." Such is the Governor-General's message to the Navy League children of New Zealand. It waii contained in a letter from the Wellington Centre of the Navy League to the Christchurch Centre, and the former branch stated that it intended to broadcast the message throughout the Dominion.
