WONDERS OF WIRELESS.
THE BROADCASTING SYSTEM. USE OF SETS AT SEA. [raoM oira own correspondent.] LONDON. July 27. Mr. Godfrey Isaacs, deputy-chairman and managing director of the Marconi International Marina Communication Company, does not think the American word " broadcasting" is very elegant, but he admits that it does seem aptly to describe the transmission of music and speech for all within range to receive. He told the shareholders at the general meeting this week that the PostmasterGeneral having given facilities in this country, broadcasting is about to be developed in a substantial way, and pretty well every country will follow suit. Therefore telephone receiving sets should be as much in demand at sea as they-will be ashore. The company h now demonstrating wireless telephones on board trawlers, and believes that telephone sets for inter-trawler communication will prove of great value to the trade, and will be ere long generally adopted. A new .source of revenue in this direction is 'looked for.
