VISIT OF AUSTRALIANS.
AUCKLAND PLAYERS CHOSEN
MATCH NEXT SATURDAY.
The Australian League representatives left Sydney on Saturday by the Ulimaroa, which is due to reach Wellington on Wednesday. The visitors will be met at Wellington by representatives of the New Zealand Rugby League, and will arrive in Auckland by the main trunk express on Friday morning. The team will leave Wellington for the return to Sydney on October 13, and the itinerary as originally planned has been somewhat curtailed.
The first match of the tour will bo played at Auckland on Saturday, against the Auckland League representatives, and a game against the Auckland provincial representatives will be played on the Domain on September 20.
The third game in Auckland will be played on September 23, when the Kangaroo team that visited England last season, will meet a combined New Zealand and Australian side. The visitors will play at Hamilton on September 27, and at Napier on September 30. Reserves —Backs : G. Davidson, W. Ghent, Brown. Forwards: F. Hanlon, Douglas. Ttie Auckland players will train at Carlaw Park on Tuesday evening and Thursday afternoon. /
