Wragge at 7 p.m. yesterday :~Tho Antarctic depression Paltiel, particularly referred to last week, has suddenly .developed energy, •while the recent high-pressure system that caused the late fine conditions i.« passing away eastward. Iftirtherraore, tropical low pressure waves appear to bo northwest from Hokianga. In these altered circumstances, stormy, rainy, and unsettled weather ia now likely generally, with winds from between north-east, north, and north-west, later veering westerly. Paltiel is evidently the " advanoeagent" of equinoctial disturbances that, owing to solar conditions, are highly probable during this month.
