Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Davis, who arrived from Australia last week on a visit to Auckland, Mr. Davis' home city, returned yesterday from a trip to Rotorua. They are at trie Grand Hotel. The presbytery of Hawke's Bay has nominated the Rev. James Cummingg, professor of Hebrew and Old Testament theology at the Theological College. Dunedin, as moderator of the Genera] Assembly for 1933, says a Press Association message. Mr. J. P. McPhail was yesterday appointed the Auckland Education Boards representative on the Technical Collegt board of managers, in place of Mr. G, W. Murray, who has retired. Mr. W. J. Campbell was reappointed to represent the board on the Elam School ci Art board of managers. Major J. T. Rogers, a member of ffce' Australian hockey team which arrived in Wellington this week, has been supervisor of physical training for the Commonwealth Military Forces. He is a native of Wellington, and was at one time leader of tho Wellington Physical Training School. When in England during the war he took part in the Army boxing championships, getting into the final of t)re heavy-weights at Aldershot in 1919, and he v-on the Army heavy-weight championship at Winchester in 1918-
