Th>! executive of the Auckland Primary Schools Rugby Union has considered \ protest respecting the Edeadalti.Remuera. match. Afte<r hearing the evidence it was seen that Remuera. owing to their misinterpretation of Rule 21 of the constitution of. the Primary Schools Union, had committed an unintentional breach. It waa decided that the match bo replayed, on Saturday, September 16. "Edendale Parent" writes: Your correspondent " Remuera Parent " evidently knows very little of the. rules governing the competition under the jurisdiction of the Auckland Primary Schools Rugby Union, i and consequently much of the subject matter in his letter is not in accordance with the truth. The rule under which the protest was lodged reads as follows:—''The averago weight of the 15 heaviest boys weighed in at the commencement of the season must not exceed 7st." Since Remuera's averago reached 7st. 4lb. (approx.), the protest of Edendale was upheld and a reolay ■rdered, so that the report, which appeared is nevertheless correct. ' Remue- i Parent " requires from " those responsible " an explanation of the merits of the protest, and since" Remuera school, through 1 its breach of the rules, has been responsible, there is plainly onl? one course open to the gentleman: i.e., an application tn the football delegate of the school in question.
