FAILURE OF CONTRACTORS. BUSINESS AT TE ABOHA. | Two petitions in bankruptcy were filed on Saturday at the office of the official assignee, Mr. W. S. Fisher. One of the petitions is that of William George Lovatt, Te Aroha, and John Barrett Brown, Tauranga and formerly of Te Aroha, trading in partnership as Lovatt. and Brown, contractors- In the schedule £130 is shown as owing to'nn-; secured oreditors, while to secured oredit- j ore £530 is owing, the estimated value of the securities being £400. The total debts are therefore £260, and the assets are set down at £50, stock-in-trade at Te Aroha. The first meeting of creditors will be held in Auckland on September 1. The other petition is that of Edward John McClJntock, labourer, Morningsido. Hiß schedule shows £556 as owing to unsecured oreditors and the assets are set down at £1750. consisting of approximate share under the will of Thomas McXlmtock. _^
