W.E.A. SOCIAL CLUB.
The monthly gathering of the Workers' | Educational Association Social Club was held on Saturday evening, when a large number of students, members and friends met in the Y.M-C.A. concert hall. I Dr. J. W. Mcllraith related a number of amusing experiences as a school inspector in the back blocks. Ho also gave some interesting examples of the new method of testing mental efficiency, which, although not yet used in this country, was being found of very great value elsewhere. In . America, during the war, 1,700,000 soldiers were graded by means of simple tests, one notable result being per cent, of those so tested were found to* possess only the intelligence of the average child of 10 years. Songs were given by Miss Jessie Bagley and Miss M. Mitchell, and Mr. Alan McElwain contributed humorous items. j
