PUKEKOHE CLUB. The annual meeting of the Pukekohe Lawn Tennis Club was presided over by Dr. Camp-bell-Smith. The report showed that the past season was very successful. tb© outstanding feature having been the club's first tournament bold at Easter. The financial statement showed an excess of expenditure of £28 while improvements to tho amount of £10 h-ad been carried out. The courts were in first-class order for the next season. The following officere wore elected:—Patron. Mr. W F. Massey; president. Dr. A. CampbellSmith: vice-president, Mr. L. J. Bayly; committee, Messrs. H. Dinsdale, W. Todd, F A. Hosking. and B. P. .Hopkins; hon. secretary, Mr. H. V. Middlemiss; hon. treasurer, Mr. M. Simmonds. _ In announcing tho election of 20 new members the chairman remarked that the names included those of the winner and runner-up of the ladies' championship singles at the Eaetcr tournament, and that, there was every prospect of a successful season ahead, Tho opening d»y was fixed for Saturday, October 7.

Lloyd, Gray, and Mrs. Utz. It is regarded as a strong one, and should test the skill of New Zealand players to the utmost. Miss Gray is a country player. The team will arrive at Auckland and travel down the island, playing at tho principal centres and. in New Zealand championships at Hastings at Christmas time. Complete arrangements have been made by the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association for the entertainment of the clajera.
