CHURCH BAZAARS.

The annual parochial sale of work of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre was held in the parish hall on Saturday'afternoon and evening. The proceeds of the sale, which went to the church renovation fund, amounted to £165, and this sum will be added to the £200 which was realised at last year's bazaar. The sale of work was very well patronised throughout the day, the various stalls and sideshows doing excellent business. _ A successful bazaar in connection with the Stanley Bay Methodist Church was held on Saturday. Mr. H. S. W. Kmc, Mayor of Devonport, in declaring the bazaar open, congratulated the workers on their efforts. A large number of people attended during Ihe afternoon ana evening, and tho stall-holders were kept busy. The proceeds are in aid of funds to paint the interior of the church and to reduce the debt on the church site. BOOTS AND SHOES HALF-PRICE. 600 pairs boots and shoes for men, women and children to be sold to-day at half-price.—Farmers' Union Trading Company, Hobson Street.
