A cabled invitation from the Hawaiian Association of the Amateur Athletic Union of the United States was this morning received by the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association for Miss Pauline Hoeft, of Auckland, and Miss Gwitha Shand, of Christchurcb, to visit Honolulu to swim during October. It is proposed that the girls should leave Auckland by the Makura on September 26, leaving Honolulu again on October 28, and arriving back in New Zealand on November 10. Miss Hoeft is the New Zealand champion and record-holder for 100 yds., and Miss Shand is the champion a.wk record-holder for 440 yds.
