LONG ARM OF THE LAW. Last week there was recovered in Mei« bourne a ring, the search for which was begun by Scotland yard, London, nearly a year ago. In her complaint to Scotland Yard in 1921, a woman said she was a i widow with three children. Ho admitted his identity, and in explaining what he had done with the various articles, said he had sold the ring for £6; to a city jeweller. The. jeweller still had the ring, and ihs man promised* to recover it. In a day or two the much-travelled ring will begin its journey back to its owner.
