HUSBAND GRANTED DIVORCE.
RESPONDENT DOES NOT APPEAR
A petition for divorce by Philip Bryan Cooke (Mr. Stanton) against Ethel May Cooke was heard by Mr. Justice Stringer and a jury in the Supreme Court yesterday, the grounds being misconduct. The respondent did not appear, and after hearing fomial evidence, the jury, without retiring, gave a verdict for the petitioner. A decree nisi was granted.
