gift flag presented. A New Zealand .ensign was recently cent by Mr. Massey to the Pan-Pacific Union,, of which he is an honorary president, the gift being mad© " in recognition of the kindly and most hospitable welcome extended to New Zealanders whenever they have chanced to call at Honolulu." The flag was taken to Honolulu by Miss , Annie Spence, of Christchurch, who was detailed by Mr. Massey to make the presentation. Mr. Wallace R. Fa.rrington, the Governor of Hawaii, and president of the Pan-Pacific Union, accompanied by a number of the trustees and friends of tho organisation, received the flag on the steps of the Executive Building where he expressed deep appreciation of the bonds of friendship existing between Hawaii and New Zealand. After the presentation, Miss Spence and members of her party were entertained at luncheon by Mr. and Mrs. Farrington at Washington Place. I :
