There art - : several gtartdc«ilaren. , .:-" ; CANON SWINBURN.Canon William Swinbum, who pawrf ':':' away at Hastings recently, was in ms 70th year. Entering the ministry of the . Church of England, he came in the 'seventies to Australia and later to New Zealand, where he worked devotedly in the cause .of bis church. He occupied the position of vicar at InvercargilJ, after which he took a similar: position at :Ww- .?, pawa, subsequently returning to the ] South Island, where h» took the charea ■.-■ j at the Bluff. There his health failed, .. as the result.-.• of his strenuous labours, ,-j < and he had to* retire from his Clerical activities.
