MAINTENANCE ORDERS.
FIRST UNDER NEW ACT. HUSBAND IN WANGANUI. (Received 8.5 p.m.) Rtufcer. LONDON, Aug. 14. The first case under the Act extending the jurisdiction of Courts regarding maintenance orders to husbands domiciled in the Dominions was tried in the Marylcbone Police Court. A horse transport driver named Leach, of Wanganui, was ordered to contribute 60s a week toward the maintenance of his wife and nine children at Kensington. The order is subject to confirmation by the New Zealand Courts.
