NEW TASMANIAN CABINET. COALITION MINISTRY. A. and N.Z. HOBAJIT, Aug. 11. The National and Country Parties hav« conferred regarding their differences. The new Cabinet is announced as follows:— Mr. Hayes, Premier and Minister for Works and Agriculture; Sir W. 2. Lee, Treasurer and Minister for Education; Mr. McPhee, Chief S<3cretary and Minister for Railways; Mr. Elythe (Leade» of the Country Party), Minister for Lands and Soldier Settlement and Mines; Mr, Propsting, Attorney-General; and Messrs. Hean and Shields, honorary Ministers. DIRECT 'FRISCO SERVICE. SYDNEY, Aug. 12. Mr. V. A. Sproule, general manage? of the Oceanic Steamship' Company, referring to the renewal of the mail contract, said that should the company receive an increase in subsidy, as requested, it proposes to build new vessels to maintain-a three-weekly service between Sydnev and San Francisco. The Labour Party executive refused the Parliamentary request for an inquiry into the selection ballots, but agreed to an inquiry on specific charges made by any member of tne party.
