PROMISING OUTLOOK. ELIMINATION OF SUN YAT SEN FEDERAL SOLUTION LIKELY. By Telegraph— Association —Copyright. (Received-5.8 p.m.) A. and N.Z. NEW YORK. Aug. 11. Advices from Peking state that Eh'. Sun Yat Sen's flight from Canton means his elimination from ihe immediate present situation in China, although as leader of the liberal elemenT wTfich is now organising Chinese labour he will probably exert tremendous influence in the future. General C-hen Chiung Ming's victory indicates a further weakening of Chang Tso Lin's power, and it is now likely that n compromise between North and South China will result. General Chen Chrung Ming and General Wu Pei Fa, who holds the power in Peking, have agreed on the principal points necessary for a national agreement. General Chen will insist on a large amount of provincial autonomy,, which will be authorised under permanent legislation now being drafted by the Parliament in Peking.
