STOCKS AND SHARES.

There was a fair demand for investment stocks on the Auckland share market on Saturday morning. In Government lines Soldiers' Loan bonds had sellers at £99 10s, buyers £98 15s. In banks Commercials were in demand at 30s, but sellevs were not quoting. For Nationals, £5 17s ( was offered, but sellers remained fifm at £6. New Zealands were sought at 545, with sellers asking 565. For Union of Australia, £12 18s was offered, but there was no responso from sellers. In insurances New Zealands were wanted at 28s, sellers 28s 6d. South British had buyers at 38, sellers 395. In gas Aucklands (naid up) sold at 22s 6d, with more wanted at 22s sd, sellers 22s 9d. In miscellaneous fines Auckland Tramways (ord.) sold at 17s lOd, late buyers offeiing same price, sellers asking 18s 3d. The German mark was quoted by a seller at 3530 to the £. In mining Wailiis were sought at 28s, sellers 295, and Waihi Grand Junctions had buyers at 8s 9d, sellers 9s. The following sales took place:—Auckland Gas (paid up), 22s 6d; Auckland Tramways (ord.), 17s lOd.
