DISQUALIFIED PLAYERS.
THE SHANNON EPISODE. WARNED OFT ALL GROUNDS. [BT TELEGE APT! —PRESS* ASSOCIATION. ] WELLINGTON. Tuesday. As regards the disqualification for life of three players of Shannon for assaulting a referee imposed by the Horowhenua Rugby Union, the matter came before the New Zealand Union to-night in a letter from the Horowhenua Union. The letter mated that the men had been warned off all grounds under the jurisdiction of the Horowhenua Union and the New Zealand Union was asked to make it applicable to all grounds in the Dominion. , The Shannon ground had also been snspanded, but after a deputation from Shannon, headend by tho Mayor, had been heard it w<is decided to take the disqualification off the ground, Thc> union decided to give the disqualification Dominion application.
