The second match between the Maori Rugby League team and Queensland resulted in a win for Queensland by 31 points to 19. The match took place in fine weather, before 6000 spectators. In the Maori team Yates, Pitman and Eaira replaced W. Lockwood, Morrison and Lovett. In the Queensland team Spencer ) E. Brown, Thorogood, Miebush, Bennett and Burnett replaced Hourigan, Maguire, M. Brien, Connell, Johnson and Richards. The Maoris showed improvement in combination and fully extended the Queenslanders. A feature of the game was clever half-back play by Pitman, who initiated the majorty of the Maoris* scoring movements. Queensland had a stronger team than last week, and always had the upper hand. The score at half time was, Queensland, 16; Maoris, 13. The Maori scorers were Gardner (2), and Dufty. Two tries were converted by Dufty. On resumption the Maoris lost Dufty, who was ordered off for insulting the referee. Gemmell equalised the score, and Te Wbata also scored, but Queensland crossed the line four times and won by 31 pointti to 19.
