CONCLUSION OF LABOURS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 8.15 p.m.) ROME, May 11. The Astronomical Conference has concluded. Excellent work has been accomplished by 32 astronomical, six geodetic and geophysical commissions. Australia was congratulated on the world measurement by wireless from Greenwich to Australia. At the close of the conference official receptions were given at the Palatine, the Accademia Licei, and the Vatican. The Pope said ho hoped that scientific relations and tho search for truth woidd assist in world pacification.
