A firm tone was maintained ess tbt Auckland eharemarfcet yesterday. Demand for Government stocks and Soldiers' Loan Bonds changed banda at £98 2s 6d, further buyers offering £97 15s, holders closing »4 £9& Inscribed stock in the same loan was in demand at £93, sellers £98 ss. War Loan, 1930, had sellers at £94 10s, buyers £93 15s< In banks there was sustained inquiry for all Bharee. Commercials (pref.) had sale at £6 12s 6d. In .insurances New Zealanda sold at 28s 9d, more being offered at that) figure, buyers 28s 6d. South British sold freely at 35s Gd, at which price sellers closed with buyers at 55s 7d. In miscellaneous lines Wilsons Cements had sale at 17a 2d and 17s 3d. In mining Waihi Grand Junctions were done at 7a 6d, more being looked for at 7s 4d, sellers 7s 7d. Waihi* at 23s were wanted at 22s 7d. The following sales took place:—Soldiers' Loan Bonds, £98 2s 6d; Commercial Bank (pref.), £6 12s od ; New Zealand Insurance, 28* 9d; South British, 35s 9d ; Wilsons Cement, 17s 2d, 17s 3d; Waihi Grand Juration, 7s 6d.
