PARISHIONERS' MEETING.

. . I ST. LUKE'S CHURCH, MT. ALBERT. The annual meeting of parishioners of St. Luke's (Anglican) Church, Mount Albert, was held in the parish hall on . Ue said that a number of women had signed the declaration in connection with church membership and had been placed on the roll, but he did not intend to declare one of them viCar a warden. The women had done excellent work during tho past year as members of tho iiuild and as Sunday-school teachers, but file men had done well on the vestry and been true helpers, so that, as far as ho was concerned, he would not make a The annual report stated that the affairs of the church wero in a very satisfactory state. After all claims had been met there was a credit balance of Sol on the ordinary account and £161 to spend on the interior of the church, as well a* credit balances on tho Sunday-school account and the churchyard account. A motion that two women be elected to the vestry was defeated, all the women present voting against it. . . . The following officers were elected :— Vicar's warden, Mr. Lewis J.
