TO - DAY'S FORECAST.
GOVERNMENT REPORT.
The Government meteorologist reported last night as follows : —Present indications are for variable winds with easterlies prevailing, freshening, northwards of New Plymouth and Napier; moderate to strong westerlies to easterlies elsewhere. Unsettled conditions and rain may be expected shortly in northernmost districts, and increasing haz,e and cloudiness generally. The barometer has a falling tendency in tho North.
MR. C. L. WRAGGE J S FORECAST. The following weather forecast was supplied to us by Mr. Clement L. Wragge at 7 o'clock last evening:—Under the distribution of moderately high pressure at pieeent existing fine to fair weather will continue generally, with morning fogs and cold nights inland. Winds very variable. Before lone signs of tho approach of anoOior disturbance will become evident and then the winds will shift northerly, and the barometer begin to fall. Sea moderate. The sun is again comparatively quiescent, but further solar disturbances are looked for.
