AUCKLAND RUGBY UNION.

THE MAN AGEMENT COMMITTEE.

The Management Committee of the Auckland Rugby Union mot last evening, Mr. H. Frost presiding.

The report of the delegates of the Auckland Rugby Union, Messrs. H. Frost and W. A. Gray, to the annual meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union was received.

A sub-committee consisting of Messrs. W. A. Gray. J. O'Brien, R. S. Webster, and A. Baylies wm appointed to go into details in connection with representative matches and the Auckland team's southern tour.

The tentative itinerary of the southern tour and the programme of representative matches of the Auckland Rugby Union was approved.

Messrs. W. A. Gray, A. Bayliss. J. O'Brien, and R. S. Webster were appointed members of the Match Committee for the season.

It was reported that Eden Park, which has been undergoing improvements, would bo ready for Rugby matches on Saturday.

Tho applications for G. A- Eddowes (University), S. L. Stretton (Ponsonby), D. Wakerley, W. Gasparich (Grafton), M. Gubb (King Country), and C. Wiggins (Thames School of Mines) to be regraded from senior to junior grade were approved. A deputation from the Franklin and Pukekohe Rugby Unions waited on the committee respecting the defining .of boundaries the subject of which was previously brought bc-fore tho committee. After an exhaustive explanation the delegates of the Franklin and Pukekohe Unions agreed to hold tha matter over for a fortnight, in tho mean' time endeavouring to come to an amicable decision.

Tho New Zealand Rugby Union wrote advising the following reinstatements: —LF. Cassy. W. Williams, R. T. Casey, L. R. Culpan, L. P. Prendergast, T. J. Cesey. C. Courtney, J. McLeod, J. Linden. The application of the Eden Club to travel to Clcvedon on Saturday was approved, but, tho request for financial assistance was not granted.

UNDER LEAGUE RULES.

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. The Management Committee of the Auckland Rugby League met last evening. Mr. J. Carlaw presiding. The Richmond Club wrote protesting against the match played between '■•J®; club's senior team and Marist Brothers Old Boys, being awarded to the latter, on the ground that Marist Old Boys played a. man who had been disqualified. Consideration of the matter was deferred until next week in order that the Marist Brothers Old Boys' Club might bo represented at the hearinir of the case. . The question of dividing any money collected at the gates at matches played .at North Shoro was discussed, a proposal being put forward that such moneys be divided among the teams engaged. An amendment that all collections be the property of the League was carried, the chairman stating that if the original proposition was given effect to it would mean that the teams accepting the money would become professionals.
