THAMES HARBOUR BOARD.

[bv telegraph—own correspondent.] THAMES. Wednesday. At a meeting of the Thames Harbour Board held last night a letter was received from A. and G. Price, Ltd., claiming for half dues collected by the board for the use of the large crane on the goodß wharf in accordance with the agreement made between the board and the firm at the time the crane was erected by them, the firm to bo allowed free use of it when required by them and half of all dues collected by the board for its use by others. The board decided to pay tho claim. The medical officer of health, Auckland, wrote stating that coastal vessels are not included in the department's regulations concerning tho use of discs on the mooring hawsers of vessels lying' at wharves, but only vessels from infected ports. Tho engineer reported that tho new wharf at Turua would probably be completed in tlie course of the next five weeks. The foreman reported tho destruction of the launch Vera by firo off thet goods wharf on March 11. Mr. W. J. McOormick, a member of the board, wrote tendering his resignation owing to ill-health. The board expressed sympathy with Mr. McCormick and decided to ask him to reconsider his resignation and continue his membership in the hope of his health improving, as his past ?eryjees had been of much value to the board.
