ELECTORAL DEPARTMENT.
AUCKLAND STAFF CHANGES
Changes in the Auckland staff of the Electoral Department, which have been made in view of the approaching general election, were announced yesterday by the chief electoral officer, Mr. J. Hislop. Mr.. J. G. Mulholland, postmaster at Ponsonby, is appointed registrar of electors of Auckland West. , Mr, G. C. Parker, postmaster at the Shortland Street office, who has been registrar for Auckland East, is now registrar for Auckland Central, while Mr. F. Evans, registrar of births, marriages, and deaths at Auckland, takes over the duties of registrar for Auckland East. Mr. Evans previously acted as registrar for Auckland Central, and his office will still be in the 'Government buildings, Customs Street. Mr. Bruce McFarlane, postmaster at Upper Symonds Street, becomes registrar for Roskill, and Mr. P. Fulton substitute-registrar for Eden. Messrs. G. C. W. Morris, H. B. Masaey, and E D. McLennan, registrars for Grey Lynn, Parnell, and Franklin respectively, remain in their present positions. Mr. J. Hay. postmaster at Devonport and registrar for Waitemata. has been appointed an electoral inspector for the Auckland district.
