VICTORIA 523 FOR FOUR. A. and N.Z. ADELAIDE, Feb. 25. The final match of the Sheffield Shield competition began yesterday between South Australia and Victoria. South Australia, in their first innings, made 160. Rundell scored 45 and Townsend 29. When stumps were drawn for the day Victoria had scored 141 runs without the loss of a wicket. Mbyne scored 82 and O'Kcefe 51. The match was resumed to-day on a perfect wicket. Victoria's score was carried to 523 for four wickets. May no scored 85, O'Keefe 180, .Kartkopf 32, RansfoW, not out, 117, and Cody, not out, 78. It was apparent throughout that the batsmen were after averagc/i.
