TARINGAMOTU THEFT.
NEARLY £1700 STOLEN. MAORI'S SAFE BLOWN OPEN. [ST. TELEGRAPH—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TATJMARUNUI, Saturday. Police investigations regarding the burglary at Taringamotu show that the money stolen must have been nearly £1700. Haupapa., the Maori who owns the house where the theft occurred, had been absent for some days. The, safe was blown open \ with dynamite, and portion of the wall ' of the dwelling was badly damaged.
