AUSTRALIAN SPRINTER.
CHALLENGE TO S. AFRICAN. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY, Feb. 23. In answer to criticisms regarding his retirement, Carr, the Australian sprinter, announces that he is prepared to meet Oosterlaak, the South African, in a special contest over 100 yds. at tho University sports on March 15, if the South Africans are agreeable. He will not take part in I the State championships or other engagements before December.
