WORKER DROPS DEAD.
[by telegraph.—own correspondent.] PAEROA, Monday. Alfred Allen, a married man, residing in Karangahake, and employed in Paeroa by the Thames Valley Electric Power Board, dropped dead while at work today. Deceased was apparently ia good health and spirits. Dr. Little was summoned, and on arrival could only pronounce life extinct. Deceased was very well known in the district, having resided in Karangahake for a number of years. He was a keen sporting man. He was about 45 years of ago, and leaves a family of eight children, th* eldest of whom is only 12 years.
