Three residents of Lyall Bay went out in a boat on a fishing expedition on Saturday afternoon, and were not heard of again until. Sunday, when a telephone message came from Mr. Eric Riddiford's station at Orangorongo stating that the boat drifted ashore on the coast, and the occupants, one of whom was a lad of 17, walked to the station, where they were fed and rested. On Sunday afternoon at 3.30 they left the station, intendis*: to walk through Gollin's Valley, 15 miles, to Eastbourne, where they expected to catch the ferry steamer for Wellington, but so far they have not arrived.
