DARGAVILLE. Monday. The thirteenth annual show of tho Northom Wairoa A. and P. Association was held on Saturday in glorious weather. There was a large attendance, tno gate takings being a record. A great featuro of the show was the splondid exhibition of Jersey cattle which was arranged by the Jersey Cattle Club, there being 100 entries, mostly pedigree cattle, in theso classes. Tho judge, Mr. Watson, characterised the display as very creditable indeed, and remarked that there was, represented some of tho finest Jersey blood in the Dominion. Both champion and reserve champion heifers were by tho famous ■ imported bull Woodsido. Sultan and wero little -behind the very best typo in the Dominion. He considered tho Jersey Club had made a wonderfully good start, and their exhibit was the outstanding feature of the show.

Mr. Quick, judge of tho light horses' and competitions, was pleased with the class of horses competing, and said some of tho animals would place themselves at any metropolitan show. Tho fruit, garden, and industrial sections wero well filled. Mr. Downs, of Auckland, was judgo of produce, and he remarked upon the excellence of the show. The apples were vory fine, and lemons excellent. Mr. Downs specially remarked upon the fine samples of maizo, both stalk and shelled, reflecting the potentialities of the district in maize culture. Mr. Woodward, judge of sheep, had nothiug but praise for the Romueys. Following aro the principal awards;— CATTLE.
