EFFECT OF '"iftRD TIMES.
LONDON. Feb. 9. Statistics reveal that drunkenness is becoming less common ' throughout the United Kingdom. ' Various causes are given, but it is generally attributed to the hard times, combined with iho lowered alcoholic strength of spirits and beer.
