GREAT GATHERING IN DELHI
REVIEW OF INDIAN ARMY.
MEMORIAL TO KITCHENER. By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright (Received 5.30 p.m.l A. and N.Z. DELHI, Feb. 17. The Prince of Wales was officially welcomed to India at a great durbar held in the historic hall of public audience at Delhi, and attended by, all the leading princes and chiefs in full dress, resplendent with jewels. The scene was one of great brilliance and impressiveness. Later representatives of all units of the Indian Army marched past the Prince of .Wales at the laying of the foundation stono of the Kitchener College at Delhi. A non-commissioned officer and a private represented each regiment. The college is situated among the mass of buildings in the course of erection in the new portion of Delhi. It will be devoted to the education of sons of native officers. Thousand of natives lined , the route between the old and new cities, and heartily welcomed the Prince.
