REVIVAL OF PRIZE RING.
CHURCH'S CONDEMNATION.
Router. LONDON. Feb. 17. The Lower House of the Convocation of York adopted a resolution regretting the revival of the prize ring in the form of public boxing matches, expressing the opinion that it is one of the most serious signs of the times, and pointing to the alienation of public opinion from a Christian standard of morals through the revival of brutal and cruel sports.
