SOUTH AFRICAN STRIKE.
ENGINEDRIVERS RETURNING.
4500 GOLDMINERS AT WORK. (Received 12.50 a.m.,1 Renter. CAPETOWN. Feb. 18. It is reported that 15 enginedrivers and mechanics have signed on in the Witbank Coal Mines. An unconfirmed report states that the strike there has been called off. In the Johannesburg goldmines 4500 men have resumed, including 2000 officials. The Industrial Federation has issued orders dealing more drastically with free labourers.
