DEFENCE ADMINISTRATION.

In tho House of Commons, Mr, Austen Chamberlain said it was not intendad to carry out this year the recommendations
in the report by the Economy Committee, presided over by Sir Eric Geddes, regarding the Defence Ministry. The possibility of combining certain administrative services of the War Office, Admiralty and Air Ministry would bo explored by technical committees in connection with the Committee of Defence.
Mr. Chamberlain said the views expressed in the Admiralty memorandum on Sir Eric Geddos' report was not to be taken as the considered decision of the Government, which was not yet formulated.
