YESTERDAY'S ACCIDENTS.
WATERSIDE WORKER'S FALL.
A severe accident befell a waterside worker, John Axon, when coming out of the hold of the Opawa at 10 p.m. last evening. He fell back into the hold and fractured his left leg between the knee and ankle. Mr. Axon, who is a married man, 40 years of age, and resides at Watca Road, Edendale, was taken to the hospital in the waterside workers' ambulance.
A little girl named Connie Jack fell off a Shetland pony at Warkworth yesterday and severely fractured her right arm near the elbow. The injured child, who lives at Pulham Road, Warkworth, was brought to Auckland by motor-car and reached the hospital at 9 p.m. A 13-year-old boy, Stanley J, Burlair, was thrown from a horse at Papatoetoe yesterday and had his left leg broken. He was tent to the hospital.
