THE FRANKLIN SHOW. _ « — Arrangements are well in hand for the Franklin Show, which will be held at Pukekohe next Friday and Saturday, 24th and 25th inst. The Franklin Show, which claims to be the "great autumn show" of the Auckland Province, Las again this year sustaiued that claim. For the last two years this show has had over 2000 entries, and the entries are again this year over the 2000 mark. Tho Franklin Agricultural and Pastoral Society claims to be the first agricultural and pastoral association in tho Auckland Province whose entries have exceeded the 2000 mark, which speaks volumes for this rich and progressive district. . Tho hunter classes are well filled, in one class there are 33 entries. All the dairying breeds of cattle are well represented. The Franklin showground, which is adjacent to Pukekohe railway station is v : sited on people's day each year by 10,000 people. . Hot water is provided free, there ia & band in attendance, and side shows galore. It reminds one of an English bank tollday on Hampstead Heath. A day spent at the Franklin Show is never forgotten. -(Advt.)
