MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS.
The Hon. G. J. Anderson, Minister for Labour and Mines, arrived in Auckland yesterday morning. He will remain in the city until Monday morning, when he ; will leave for Huntly in order to inspect the Macdonald State mine. He hopes to arrive in Hamilton some time on Tuesday afternoon. There ho will meet a delegation from Waihi to discuss mining matters, the School of Mines in particular. Ho will leave for Wellington the same evening. Mr. Anderson is visiting Auckland principally on business affecting the Housing Department. Last evening he conferred with purchasers of the Carroll Estate, Ellershe. The Hon. J. G. Coates, Minister for Public Works and Postmaster-General, arrived from Wellington yesterday. He left immediately for the North, where he will inspect the railway works in progress. Ho will return to Auckland next Friday. The Hon. C. J. Parr, Minister for Education and Health, will conier with the departmental medical officer? this morning regarding health precautions. He will also meet representatives of the Auckland University College Council and their architect to discuss the position regarding the plans for the new buildin" concerning which there has been correspondence recently between the department and the council. Mr. Parr will leave by tho Mam Trunk express this afternoon, proceeding as far as Hamilton. He will join the train for Wellington to-morrow night.
