DROWNED WHILE BATHING.
A STOREKEEPER'S DEATH.

William Arthur Longworth, storekeeper and mail contractor, of Ashhurst, was drowned iu the Manawatu River now the entrance to the gorge late yesterday afternoon. Deceased was Dathing with two companions when he suddenly disappeared. His body was recovered.
