Growers generally expressed satisfaction with the trial curing results obtained. The meeting expressed approval of the projeot to establish a packing shed at Tauranga as soon as the output warrants it, and appointed a committee to go into ways and means, A number of growers present furnished particulars of the estimated quantities of lemons that would be grown in their orchards during the coming season, the total being 3450 cases, and this does not include the outputs from a number of other orchards, It is now safe to assume that locally-grown lemons may be cured so as to reach tho Southern markets. The curing has been carried on at the Government Horticultural Station for the past four years, and the lemons have been sent as far as Wellington, where the fruit arrived in good condition.
