INCREASE IN BUTTER.
LESS CHEESE BEING MADE.' [BY TELEQIUPH.—PRESS ABSOCUHON.] WELLINGTON, Monday. Figures of the dairy division of the Department of Agriculture show that the batter graded in December, 1921, totalled 162,560cwt., an increase of 29.45 Der cent, over the figures of December, 1920. The total for the five months ended December, 1921, was 498,885cwt., an increase of 44.6 per cent, over the figures for the similar period of 1920. The total of cheese graded m December, 1921, was 199,690cwt., a decrease of 7.01 per cent., as compared with December, 1920. The total for the five months ended December, 1921, was P13,865cf0t., a decrease of 10.52 per cent, for the corresponding period of 1920. Converting these figures into butterfat equivathere n an increase of 20,65 in butterfat production of the five monthly period ended December, 1921, over the corresponding period of 1920.
