Dick Arnst intends leaving for Christchurch tomorrow to spend a week or two with his people at Taitapu, He has signified his intention of taking on harvesting to keep in fit condition in the event of his proposal to have another big race between all aspirants for championship honours oventuating. Several Wanganui sporting enthusiasts are taking kindly to the proposal and no doubt the matter will bo fully gone into. One of the leading enthusiasts said this evening that be was now convinced that the enterprise was feasible. Arnst's proposal has been varied somewhat, and it is now suggested that a handicap sweepstake should he held on the Wanganui River in conjunction with the championship event. Several Australian oarsmen possessing possibilities might be attracted across the water.
