SCULLING CHAMPIONSHIP.
OFFICIAL FILM SCREENED. The screening of the official film of the Hadfield-Arnst .race for the world's sculling championship attracted large numbers of spectators to the Princess Theatre yea. terday. The winning of the championship by an Aucklander has quickened local interest in this great contest, and those who were unable to see the race itself will appreciate the excellent opportunity thus given of witnessing its progress down the Wanganui, The contestants are first 6hown at their training camps, then rowing on the river. The pictures of the race itself are sharp and clear, and they make it very evident that Hadfield took the lead from the start and maintained it easily to the end. An interesting feature of the scenes on the .river is the following up of the race by boate crowded with spectators., The camera followed, the contestants down the whole course of the river, so that the progress of the race is shown from start to finish, concluding with animated Scenes of the ovation giv<m Hadfield as champion and Artist as ex-champion as they stepped ashore.
