On November 2, Mr, G. Seifert, of Hamilton, lodged a deposit of £100 with the managing director of the Waikato Times (Mr. A. E. iVlanning), on behalf of Paddon. Hadfield has the right to name tho course for tho next match, and it is believed he looks favourably on the Waikato River as providing a stretch of water suited for rowing, with facilities for spectators obtaining a good view cf the race.
